Former NRL stars coming out of retirement

Robbie Farah, Paul Whatuira and Pat Richards – three of the heroes of Wests Tigers' amazing 2005 premiership victory – are coming out of retirement to play rugby union in the Dubai Sevens next month.

The trio will be joined by fellow Aussies Luke Lewis, Kurt Gidley and Luke Dorn playing in the Masters section of the event to raise money for charity.

The former NRL stars will be pulling on the boots again for the charity Joining Jack, set up by former Wigan star Andy Johnson and his wife after their eldest son was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The Dubai event is one of the biggest events on the World Rugby Sevens tour, drawing crowds from around the globe.
