Parents arrested after girl, 14, reports ‘deplorable’ home and cops find it covered in poo, cockroaches and rotting food

A DESPERATE teenager and her four younger siblings were found living in a  filthy home without food or running water after she phoned an abuse hotline and said she was contemplating suicide due to the squalor.

Cops say when they arrived at the property in Bunnell, Florida the home was “in complete disarray,” with an “abundance” of faeces, urine and cockroaches.

The 14-year-old made the call on Halloween and also alleged mum, Betty Nicolicchia-Allen was subjecting her to emotional and physical abuse.

Nicolicchia-Allen has been taken into custody and charged with five counts of child neglect, along with the children’s dad, Dennis Allen after police discovered the “deplorable living conditions.”

The unnamed teenager said she was being home-schooled but that she “wasn’t being taught anything.”

She added that she was instead kept out of school in order to care for her four siblings, aged six, eight nine and 12, three dogs and several other animals while her parents worked well into the night.

Officials found the house without running water and without edible food – with just a bag of frozen chicken in the freezer.

Local police said the home’s only toilet contained a build up of waste with no way to remove it, and just a hose-pipe through the window by way of water.

The other children in the house told police they were only bathed once a week and were taken to a local restaurant to do so.

The house’s squalid garden was rampant with overgrown grass, gas canisters, beer cans, rusted metal and chicken poo from two birds who roamed freely throughout the property.

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said: “Some rooms were so littered with trash that deputies were unable to see the floor and their boots stuck to the filth-covered floors.

“I want to commend the girl for calling the Abuse Hotline and being brave enough to ask for help. These children were living in deplorable conditions.

“I am thankful that these kids are now safe from these two individuals who obviously do not know how to properly care for children.”
